Crisis help for those needing immediate support - the Samaritans provide someone to talk to, 24/7.

In Colchester, you can also get help from NERIL.... ...

NERIL (North Essex Resource and Information Line for mental health) is a voluntary telephone helpline staffed by trained workers who give information, support and advice about mental health. The line is open every day between 4pm and 8am.

The number for NERIL is 0845 0900 909 (all calls charged at a local rate). Anyone can use this service.

For general medical issues of concern, including mental health, try NHS Direct or your local GP.
